Description

Piece based on the one found in Voluce (Calatañazor), similar to pieces defined by Vegas (Form 44) (1973: 103) from Sutri and Albintimilium, of High Imperial chronology. a vessel with an outward sloping rim, smooth or thickened, sometimes possessing a ridge at the top. The neck was short and the body pyriform, with a flat base or a ring foot. The handle started immediately from the lip or below. On the other hand, the paste was generally ocher, and could have a rough surface or be polished. The shape would correspond to that of a wide-mouthed jug.
