Description

“Candiles or iron oil lamps used from the modern age well into the 20th century. These pieces have been created taking as reference, on one hand, the one preserved in the Museum Casa Natal de Cervantes, with an octagonal deposit with curved sides, featuring a molded handle attached to two sides, culminating in a central upper ring for hanging (this datatable exclusively in the 17th century). On the other hand, we have recreated two spout lamps based on examples from the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs of the Upper Guadalquivir and the same Museum Casa de Cervantes.”
